Agustin Izquierdo is a Senior Advisor with Trusted Trade Alliance and a Partner with CTSLA in Mexico City. He previously served as Foreign Trade and Customs Director for General Motors of Mexico. In this position he was responsible for customs planning, foreign trade and customs regulatory compliance in Mexico and active in coordinating customs matters in the Americas region.
Agustin led corporate initiatives and global customs projects at GM, including the creation of consolidated customs processes, optimizing GM’s customs operation and reducing its foreign trade costs, and managed customs entry operations in North America.
Agustin’s expertise is focused on internal control and process optimization in the field of trade compliance and customs operational management, including management of service providers and outsourcing, which will complement and expand TTA’s existing range of trade and customs-related services in Mexico.
Fluent in Spanish and English, Agustin has a Public Accountant degree from Monterrey Tech, and has a Master's degree in Economics from Mexico’s Universidad Anahuac.
