Rogelio Cruz Vernet

Rogelio Cruz Vernet is the Managing Director for Latin America at Trusted Trade Alliance and also the managing partner of the boutique firm CUSTOMS TRADE SOLUTIONS LATIN AMERICA, a member firm of TRUSTED TRADE ALLIANCE, LLC. Mr. Cruz Vernet's practice and expertise is focused on customs regulations, consulting and litigation as well as trade compliance export controls and supply chain security in Mexico. Rogelio Cruz Vernet was admitted as an attorney in Mexico in 1994, and received a Law Degree from the La Salle University Mexico City. Mr. Cruz Vernet also has a Diploma in Tax Law from Universidad Panamericana and a Diploma of Legal Framework of Foreign Trade from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.

Previously, he was Partner of Basham Ringe and Correa, S.C. in charge of customs and trade matters and also the founding partner of the firm Chevez and Cruz Vernet, S.C. in Mexico City, responsible for the firm's customs and trade practice.

Prior to Chevez and Cruz Vernet, S.C., he had served as Mexican Customs Counsel for Delphi Automotive Systems, where he was very active in spearheading customs simplification and trade facilitation initiatives in Mexico. Before joining Delphi, Mr. Cruz Vernet spent 12 years at Basham, Ringe and Correa, S.C., as Senior Associate in the customs and international trade department in Mexico City and Monterrey, Mexico.

He has been a speaker at several customs and trade seminars in Mexico and other parts of the word such as Brussels, Argentina, Colombia, USA and among other relevant events, he was invited to be lecturer at the University of Muenster in Germany to lecture in its Master's program in Customs Administration for African customs officers. Mr. Cruz Vernet also coordinates a highly professional network of customs attorneys in Latin America.

Mr. Cruz Vernet is currently the Coordinator of the Customs Committee of the National Illustrious College of Lawyers of Mexico. Previously, he was designated legal advisor to and responsible for the coordination of the Customs and Logistics Committee of the Mexican Foreign Trade Council (COMCE), Northeast Chapter, in Monterrey,. He is a founding member of the Mexican Foreign Trade Executive Officers Institute IMECE. and active member of the Foreign Trade Committee of the National Institute of Accountants in Mexico.

He is a native speaker of Spanish and fluent in English.
